Credu in conjunction with Powys Health and Care are offering a number of Manual Handling courses to suit you and will even make an appointment to come to your home for a 1-1 session. Learning how to properly lift and move the person you care for is so important to you both. By reducing the risk of injury to both you and them and makes the whole process easier.
There is a form: https://forms.gle/QxUWHt5hdHYeRSNv9 that needs to be completed by you, as it identifies what sort of training you may need . It also askes which Drop In session you might attend and when. I believe that there may be an opportunity to have a Drop In session in other areas than those listed.

Manual handling training for unpaid carers
Debbie from A1 Risk Solutions is going to be offering manual handling sessions for carers across Powys in February. Each date is planned to involve a drop in session at a set venue in the morning and a series of 1-1 home visits around surrounding areas in the afternoon, but this is flexible around you! Your feedback might change these plans and we’ll do our best to meet what you need.
If the dates below don’t work for you, please still complete the form to help with plans in the future. Your voice is essential to know what will be helpful to you.
